Yes! The trailer give us a glimpse into Marcus' life as he navigates dating in the big city. We can see a whole host of new characters, plus those iconic New York skylines from season 1, and it looks great.

William Jackson Harper (who you might recognise as Chidi Anagonye in The Good Place) takes the lead as new protagonist Marcus.

Other new cast members include Jessica Williams, Chris “Comedian CP” Powell and Punkie Johnson. There's also Arian Moayed, Leslie Bibb, John Earl Jenkins and Maya Kazan.

Plus, Keith David is set to take over as narrator, replacing season 1's Lesley Manville.

As for Anna Kendrick's Darby, she will be appearing in season 2 in some form - and we even see her pop up in the trailer.

The show's creator, Sam Boyd, told The Hollywood Reporter, "We really want season two to feel interconnected with the world of the first season."

What have Love Life's creators said about the show?

Discussing the decision to change protagonist for season 2, Love Life's show runner Bridget Bedard told Metro, "The main idea was that we didn’t just have another lovelorn person in their 20s. We were interested in exploring a very different person with a very different set of circumstances for this new story."

Bedard continued, "We wanted someone who was in their 30s and then we thought about having a man of colour… then we began to focus in on William Jackson Harper, and we were able to miraculously get him! After that, we just went from there."

Speaking about the issues raised in season 2, Bedard explained, "Season one had issues that were very specific to Darby and her experience. Now with Marcus, we needed to have issues that are specific to him and his experience as a black man. Of course, he has certain conversations like the question about how many black girls he’s dated - and I love how the character handles it."

"Moments like that help him to reflect and think about what he truly wants. Viewers will get to see how he takes ownership of who he is."
