Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily are packing their bags for North Carolina after the former Oklahoma quarterback was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Carolina Panthers.

The 2017 Heisman trophy winner was traded to Carolina after four seasons in Cleveland for a conditional draft pick in 2024 or 2025. He will join Sam Darnold, who was drafted third overall in 2018 after Mayfield was drafted first.

Mayfield's wife, Emily Wilkinson reacted to the news in her Instagram Stories Wednesday following a string of photos from the couple's 2019 wedding.

"On anniversary day, too," she wrote next to an image showing her husband in a Panther's jersey. "Love to see it!"

Mayfield will see his former team again, soon. The Browns pay a visit to the Panthers on Sept. 11 to kick off both team's season.
