A Loveland In-N-Out is official. Here's what we know.

After abandoning plans for a Fort Collins In-N-Out, the burger chain is moving full steam ahead on a future Loveland drive-thru — marking its entry to Northern Colorado.

In-N-Out Burgers purchased the building at 1450 Fall River Drive in Loveland, formerly home to Mimi's Cafe, on Feb. 17, Larimer County property records show. The sale price was $1.3 million.

The burger chain confirmed to the Coloradoan on Tuesday that it is indeed moving forward with its plans to build a new restaurant on the Loveland site. Once ground is broken on a project, new In-N-Out locations typically take eight to nine months to build, according to Mike Abbate, the company's assistant vice president of real estate and development. Abbate said he couldn't yet nail down a timeline for the restaurant's opening in Loveland.

In-N-Out had previously showed interest in building its first Northern Colorado location at the site of a modest Midtown business strip at 1700 S. College Ave. It ultimately abandoned that idea in late 2020, paving the way for local Dave's Hot Chicken franchisee Jason Beld to take over the spot for the chicken chain's first Fort Collins location.
