Love's Travel Stop opens new location in Lancaster

LANCASTER − A new Love's Travel Stop has come to Lancaster, opening just off Business Route 33 at 3799 Lancaster-Circleville Road SW.

With a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Love's officially unveiled its new location, which has been open since December 8.

The more than 13,000-square-foot travel stop comes with a Hardee's, showers, truck and car parking spaces, snacks, coffee, laundry facilities, 24/7 service, and more.

According to general manager Joe Thurston, the thing that sets Love's apart from the competition is their commitment to company principles.

"We have four principles we live by," said Thurston. "We hire great people who care, we make sure that we have clean, well-maintained places for you, we get you back on the road quickly, and we give you competitive prices. Our main goal is customer service."

Thurston said this new location is special because it has a new Hardee's design, making it one of just two like it in Ohio.

The newly opened Love's brings nearly 100 jobs to Lancaster, with 98 employees currently on staff. Thurston said their first priority is hiring people who will contribute to culture they aspire towards.

"The big thing with Love's is culture," said Thurston. "That's our biggest thing. They stress culture above profit, above anything else."

When asked why Love's chose to come to Lancaster, Thurston said that the location could not have been better.

"Look at it, it's beautiful," said Thurston. "It's right here by Hocking Hills, it's located where it needs to be where essentially everyone can get to it, it's a great town."
