Low turnout in early voting for primaries + Panthers release final injury report ahead of season kickoff

1. Early voting is almost over in Charlotte. Why are so few casting ballots in the primary?

The number of people voting early in Charlotte municipal primary has ticked up since more polling places opened, but overall voter turnout remains low.

Multiple factors can depress turnout in a primary, Michael Dickerson, director of the county Board of Elections said, including a lack of Republican candidates to bring out GOP voters.

2. Panthers injury report: Carolina’s depth at WR thin heading into season kickoff

The Panthers released their final injury report of the week before heading down to Atlanta to kick off the 2023 season against the Falcons.

Wide receiver DJ Chark has been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup and veteran wideout Adam Thielen was listed as questionable.

3. Got $13M and a dream? Price drop just in for unique mansion near Charlotte

NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has dropped the sales price of his mansion north of Charlotte from nearly $16 million to about $13 million, according to its new listing.

A NASCAR driver’s dropped the asking price on his mansion in north Charlotte.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. originally listed his home for $16 million in July 2022, ESPN reported at the time. He’s now reduced the price by about $3 million, according to the new listing.
