Lower humidity, more seasonal temps return ahead of Georgia-Florida

This morning we have dropped to the 50s well inland and 60s in Jacksonville and at the coast. A few clouds this morning will give way to mostly to partly sunny skies through the day.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says highs this afternoon will top out at about 80 degrees inland and upper 70s along the coast.

An onshore wind will set up today and persist through the weekend. There will be an elevated rip current risk over the next few days.

Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 70s with that onshore wind at 10-15 mph.

An isolated shower is possible Friday south of I-10. Georgia/Florida on Saturday afternoon (3:30 pm kickoff on CBS 47-WJAX) looks mainly dry other than an isolated shower before the game. Temperatures will be falling from the 70s and into the 60s.

Sunday will feel more humid and warm with partly sunny skies and temperatures nearing 80 degrees.

TROPICS: We are tracking the potential for an area of low pressure to form and acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics north of Puerto Rico over the next two days. No local impacts. Another area to watch is the Eastern and Central Caribbean over the weekend. No local impacts.

The early preview of Halloween is looking warm but dry with temperatures in the low 80s before falling through the 70s as kids head out to trick-or-treat.
