LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in Lower Merion Township are asked to make refuse collection crews' jobs a bit easier during the outbreak of the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19.

The township is asking residents who have rear yard waste pickup service — and are able to do so — to bring their trash and recycling curbside to help public works crews be more efficient with collections.

Leaves will be combined with trash during the emergency period.

According to the township, crews are seeing an overwhelming amount of trash due to residents staying home during the virus outbreak.

Residents are reminded that the Public Works complex at 1300 Woodbine Ave. is closed for commercial and residential drop off.
