LSU baseball score vs. Texas A&M: Live updates from opening SEC series

No. 1 LSU baseball will look to capture its first series sweep in SEC play when the Tigers face No. 15 Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, for Game 3 of the three-game set on Sunday (1 p.m., SEC Network+).

The Tigers (18-1, 2-0 SEC) defeated the Aggies in Game 2 on Friday, 12-7, following their 9-0 win on Friday.

Jared Jones led the charge for LSU, going 3-for-5 with a home run and seven RBI, while Tommy White also had three hits, including a double and three RBI. Jordan Thompson also had a pair of base hits.

Ty Floyd struggled in his first start against SEC competition this season, surrendering three earned runs in 3⅓ innings pitched. But the bullpen stepped up, as Garrett Edwards, Riley Cooper and Blake Money combined to allow just two earned runs in 5⅔ innings pitched.

Texas A&M (13-6, 0-1) entered conference play having won its last eight games, defeating Texas Tech and Houston among others during that stretch.
