LSU basketball guard Justice Williams returns from the transfer portal

LSU basketball guard Justice Williams has taken his name out of the transfer portal and will return to the program next season, LSU announced Wednesday.

Williams, a freshman, played just 212 minutes in 20 games this past season but was a four-star recruit and the No. 13 shooting guard, according to 247Sports Composite, in the nation coming out of Montverde Academy in Philadelphia.

He entered the portal March 30 and was one of 11 Tigers to do so this offseason. Williams is also the second LSU player to take his name out of the portal, joining sophomore forward Mwani Wilkinson, who returned to LSU on Tuesday.

LSU still has nine players who have either entered the portal or transferred to a different program. Forward Shareef O'Neal, forward Bradley Ezewiro, center Jerrell Colbert, guard Adam Miller, guard Xavier Pinson and center Efton Reid have all entered the portal. Forward Alex Fudge (Florida), guard Brandon Murray (Georgetown) and guard Eric Gaines (UAB) have already found new homes. Forwards Tari Eason and Darius Days have also entered the NBA Draft.

In addition to Wilkinson and Williams returning, the Tigers have also added pieces from the portal. LSU has also signed three-star recruit Corneilous Williams, a former Murray State commit.

Much of the shakeup involving the Tigers' roster this offseason stems from coach Will Wade's firing last month, which came days after LSU received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA. McMahon, formerly the coach at Murray State, was hired as his replacement nine days later.
