LSU basketball score vs. Alabama: Live updates from Coleman Coliseum

LSU basketball will try to score its first win in SEC play this year as it faces No. 4 Alabama on the road Saturday (3 p.m., ESPN).

The Tigers (12-4, 1-3 SEC) have lost three consecutive SEC matchups after upsetting No. 16 Arkansas to begin league play. The most recent defeat came on Tuesday when LSU dropped its first home game under coach Matt McMahon, losing 67-56 to Florida.

KJ Williams' 23 points were not enough to carry an LSU offense that turned the ball over 16 times and converted on just 32.2% of its field goal attempts. Besides Williams, no other Tiger had a double-digit scoring effort.

LSU's loss to the Gators was just another example of how much trouble the Tigers have had scoring the basketball this season. LSU has the No. 122 ranked offense in the nation, according to KenPom.com, and the No. 113 offense in ESPN's College Basketball Power Index.

The schedule doesn't get much easier for LSU as it faces Alabama (14-2, 4-0). The Crimson Tide are coming off a big 84-69 win on the road against Arkansas.
