LSU basketball score vs. Alabama: Live updates as Tigers try to snap 9-game skid

BATON ROUGE ― LSU basketball will look to score its first win of 2023 and break its nine-game losing streak when the Tigers face off against No. 5 Alabama in Baton Rouge on Saturday (3 p.m., ESPNU).

The Tigers (12-10, 1-8 SEC) had their skid extended on Wednesday in a loss at Missouri, 87-77. LSU took a step forward on offense but struggled in stopping Missouri's offense.

Missouri shot 48% from 3-point range and 56% from the floor. Coach Dennis Gates' team built a 13-point lead at halftime and never looked back.

Alabama (19-3, 9-0) is coming off a blowout victory over Vanderbilt, 101-44. It was a strong bounceback after the Crimson Tide were upset by Oklahoma in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge last weekend.
