LSU basketball score vs. South Carolina: Live updates as Tigers try to snap 13-game skid

BATON ROUGE ― LSU basketball will try to break its 13-game losing streak as it faces South Carolina in Baton Rouge on Saturday (12 p.m., SEC Network).

The Tigers' most recent loss came in heartbreaking fashion on Tuesday, as they suffered a 65-63 defeat at the hands of Georgia.

KJ Williams connected on a hook shot to give LSU (12-14, 1-12 SEC) the lead with just 11 seconds remaining. But Georgia immediately responded, as guard Justin Hill made an acrobatic layup to retake the lead. LSU then turned over the ball on the inbounds pass before fouling Hill, who made one free throw to extend the Bulldogs' lead to two.

LSU had a final shot, but Tyrel Ward's three-quarter-court heave fell short.

South Carolina (9-17, 2-11) lost to Vanderbilt on Tuesday but broke an eight-game losing streak just before by defeating Ole Miss last Saturday.
