LSU football injury updates on Jayden Daniels, Josh Williams and Jarrick Bernard-Converse

ATLANTA - LSU football quarterback Jayden Daniels will play against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, Tigers coach Brian Kelly told reporters Thursday.

The Tigers (9-3) take on the Bulldogs (12-0) on Saturday (3 p.m., CBS) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Daniels injured his ankle during the fourth quarter of LSU’s loss last week to Texas A&M. He was in a walking boot earlier in the week but has practiced since then.

Running back Josh Williams and cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse will also return.

Williams did not play a snap against Texas A&M and did not dress for LSU's matchup against UAB the week before. He had been dealing with a knee injury.

"I was really pleased with Josh yesterday. I think he looked like himself finally. This is an injury that takes some time because of the way he runs. He's such a physical runner," Kelly said. "He plays so hard. His physical exertion and effort is one where he's not a guy that's going to go at less than 100%."
