LSU football goes on the road to face the Florida Gators in a conference matchup on Saturday.

After suffering a 40-13 loss to Tennessee last week, the Tigers will look to bounce back against Florida. The Gators, on the other hand, will look to earn consecutive conference wins after defeating Missouri 24-17.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels completed a season-high 32 passes for 300 yards with a touchdown and interception against the Vols, and will likely continue dominating with wide receivers Malik Nabers and Jaray Jenkins. Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson, however, has thrown an interception during every matchup this season. If the Tigers can capitalize and get ahead early, things could get wild.

Can the Tigers upset the Gators on their turf? Here's what our experts had to say.

RILEY:Stock up or stock down? Where LSU football's position groups stand halfway through season

BRIAN KELLY:LSU football left tackle Will Campbell expected to play against Florida

More:With Will Campbell and Garrett Dellinger likely out, who can fill in on LSU football's offensive line?

Koki Riley, LSU beat reporter

Florida 20, LSU 17: Will Campbell's return to the lineup should only help LSU. But Florida has home field and a clear advantage on both lines of scrimmage. This game should be close. However, as long as Richardson doesn't turn it over too often, the Gators have a slight advantage.

Blake Toppmeyer, SEC columnist

Florida 28, LSU 24: Two of the SEC’s most average teams will square off in the Swamp in a battle of first-year coaches. Brian Kelly said average will get you beat in the SEC, but his Tigers weren’t average in last week’s trouncing against Tennessee. They were lousy. Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson remains a Jekyll and Hyde, but Florida’s run game has been steady, and its defense should enjoy playing against what has been an inconsistent LSU offense.

John Adams, senior sports columnist

LSU 27, Florida 24: Passing is supposed to be paramount in college football. So, how do you explain what happened to the Tigers and Gators last week?

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels passed for 300 yards, but the Tigers were overwhelmed 40-13 by Tennessee. Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson completed eight of 14 passes for a mere 68 yards, but the Gators prevailed against Missouri.

What does that tell me?

Answer: Nothing. Halfway through the season, I’ve already lost interest in both teams. But I wish them the best.
