LSU football vs. Texas A&M: Our final score predictions are in

LSU football is going on the road to face Texas A&M for its final matchup of the regular season.

The Tigers are looking for a win to finish off the regular season and boost their chances at making the College Football Playoff. LSU jumped to No. 5 in the rankings following Tennessee's loss to South Carolina last week.

Although the Aggies are in the bottom of the SEC, defeating the Tigers isn't impossible. Texas A&M snapped a six-game losing streak last week with a win over UMass.

LSU 31, Texas A&M 10: There's a path for Texas A&M defensively. As explosive as the Tigers' offense has been in the second half of the year, the unit still has some warts. The biggest problem for the Aggies is how they're going to score points. Outside of defensive or special teams scores, it's hard to find a realistic path for Texas A&M to even get to 20 points.

Blake Toppmeyer, SEC columnist

LSU 24, Texas A&M 14: The Tigers don’t need style points. They just need to keep winning. The Aggies have lost six straight SEC games, and they’re saddled with the SEC’s worst offense. LSU can’t be caught looking ahead to the SEC Championship, but several Aggies probably are looking ahead to the transfer portal opening next month.
