LSU football's Malik Nabers at first day of spring practice following his arrest

BATON ROUGE - LSU football wide receiver Malik Nabers was seen participating in LSU's first day of spring practice during the media availability portion Thursday, just weeks following his arrest last month.

Nabers was charged with illegally possessing a gun in New Orleans on Mardi Gras weekend. All charges against Nabers were dropped the following day on the condition that the firearm would not be returned to him.

An LSU spokesperson confirmed to The Advertiser that Nabers was internally disciplined. Coach Brian Kelly also told The Advocate on Tuesday that Nabers would not miss any game time as a result of the incident.

Nabers, a junior, was LSU's leading receiver last season, catching 72 passes for 1,017 yards. He returns to an LSU offense that brings back the majority of its starters from a season ago, including quarterback Jayden Daniels.
