LSU kicker Cade York is confident to kick from 63+ yards

One of the big weapons for the LSU Tigers is their junior kicker Cade York. This past week he set the Tiger Stadium record with a 55-yard kick in the first half against McNeese. In the second half, he lined up for a 56-yard field goal to break his own record.
York owns the three-longest field goal kicks in LSU history. His 57-yard kick against Florida in the Swamp gave the Tigers the upset win over the No. 6 team in the country at the time. It has become an expectation to this point that if No. 36 lines up for a kick, you can go ahead and put it on the board. In his career, York has converted 12 of 14 field goals from 50 yards or beyond.

This week the preseason All-American kicker spoke with Emily Dixon on ‘Inside the Huddle.’ Dixon asked York just how far out could he have the confidence to kick from.
“I don’t think there is any situation that [Ed Orgeron] would put me out for that I wouldn’t say yes to,” York said. “I want to try it all, but I could see if the conditions were fair and right maybe trying anywhere from 63-65 in a game.”
