The top story surrounding the LSU Tigers on Wednesday morning, Paul Finebaum discusses the hot topic that is Ed Orgeron.
It would seem as though everyone wants to weigh in on what is going on down on the Bayou. Except when it came to Finebaum, he isn’t ready to say that Orgeron is on the hot seat.

“As far as Coach O, I think it’s difficult to answer your question,” Finebaum said. “And this is not one that I’m dodging, because I don’t think we have enough information yet. I think every game becomes very important to the fanbase. And so far, I think they’re a little bit underwhelmed. The next critical game is Mississippi State on the road. If he can get a win there, I think he quiets everyone down. But if that game goes the wrong way, then suddenly, he has lost two games that fans and media did not expect him to lose before the season — and that’s before you take a look at the schedule, which is brutal.” – via 247Sports
One could understand where he is coming from, however, Orgeron doesn’t have a lot of time on his hands down in Baton Rouge. Yes, the Tigers are just one season removed from the 2019 College Football Playoff national championship. That doesn’t mean that he should get a free pass for a few seasons. We know you either win at a football factory like LSU, or the decision-makers will find someone who can get results.
