LSU women's basketball score vs. Auburn: Live updates

On paper, it won't be expected to be much of a game between No. 5 LSU (17-0, 5-0) and Auburn (10-6, 0-4).

For LSU women's basketball, this weekend is more about celebration and homecoming, and the matchup with Auburn inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center Sunday afternoon (2 p.m., SEC Network+) should just be the emphatic exclamation point.

LSU legend Seimone Augustus will be in town as her alma mater is unveiling a statue of her outside the basketball practice facility Sunday before tipoff.

On the court, LSU currently is riding the program's best start to a season at 17-0. The 17 straight wins also have set the program record for the longest win streak.

Despite its struggles to open SEC play, Auburn does have a formidable guard tandem in Aicha Coulibaly and Honesty Scott-Grayson, both averaging more than 15 points per game.

LSU will need to guard the Coulibaly and Scott-Grayson drive and dish game, as Scott-Grayson is one of the top 3-pointer shooters in the league.
