LSU ENDS SEASON 27-1LSU women's basketball ties program-best season record, downs Mississippi State 74-59

LSU will need to be selective with 3-pointers, give LaDazhia Williams more touches

In the first meeting, LSU managed just 26% from beyond the arc against Georgia.

While senior wing Jasmine Carson is performing better with her outside game now than in early February against UGA, working to get higher percentage shots should benefit LSU.

Senior forward LaDazhia Williams, opposite Reese, could see increased touches. Williams is coming off a 16-point outing against Mississippi State, which has a solid defensive squad.

Expect LSU-Georgia SEC Tournament game to be low-scoring

This game is set up for a low-scoring affair. Since the loss at LSU, Georgia is allowing below 55 points per game.

The Tigers' defense has been sporty as well over the last month of the regular season with opponents averaging 67 points per game.

Expect the quarterfinal showdown between LSU and the Bulldogs to be a defensive dogfight and the team that makes the plays down the stretch on offense should prevail.

Score prediction

LSU 68, Georgia 59: Mulkey will have some tricks up her sleeve for the Tigers to find some room among Georgia's defense that leads to enough cushion for the win.
