BATON ROUGE – LSU women's basketball's star sophomore forward Angel Reese took a shot to the mouth on her team's first defensive possession against Michigan on Sunday night.

Despite having to play the remainder of the first half with gauze packed inside her upper lip, Reese didn't let the ailment slow her down, securing a double-double in the NCAA Tournament second-round matchup with more than three minutes left in the second quarter.

The 6-4 sophomore outrebounded Michigan's entire team in the first half, 14 to 13, and had 13 points, which was two points shy of what the Wolverines had through two quarters.
