Luau at the Library July 30

Jul. 24—MILAN — Milan Public Library invites community members of all ages to celebrate the end of another successful summer reading program with a Luau at the Library from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30.

Experience an afternoon full of fun and entertainment, including an authentic Hula and French Polynesian Tahitian Ori dance performance and demonstration at noon from Manivic's Hawaiian Dance Company. Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, and bring your folding chair, camera, and aloha spirit as you learn the beauty, tradition, and culture behind the music and dance of the Polynesian Islands. Audience participation is optional.

Crafts and games will also be available, as well as FREE Kona Ice (while supplies last).

Need a moment to relax? Visit the MBLD Pop-Up Café Tiki Lounge, which will be set up in the library basement. Enjoy refreshing beverages, mocktails, and a selection of snacks, including a selection of tropical treats like butter mochi, haupia pie, Filipino-style macaroons, and more.

This event is free and open to the public.
