LENT/EASTER SERVICES

• Shepherd King Lutheran Church, ELCA, 2122 18th St. (806) 762-5080. Holden Lenten Evening Prayer Services, March 29 at 6 p.m. Palm Sunday Service, April 2, 10:30 a.m., Communion. Maundy Thursday Service, April 6 at 6 p.m., communion. Good Friday Service, April 7 at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday service, April 9 at 10:30 a.m., communion.

• Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2221 Ave. W; Lenten services: Wednesday, March 29, 7 p.m. “Isaiah 53:12”; Maundy Thursday, April 6, 7 p.m. with Holy Communion; Good Friday, April 7, 7 p.m. Tenebrae. Easter Sunday, April 9, 8-8:50 a.m. breakfast; 8:50 a.m. treasure hunt (Bible verses and candy) for kids; 9:10 a.m. children’s story. Easter service, 9:30 a.m. with Holy Communion. After services, Bible study and Sunday school activities for children. There will be a place to write down prayer requests in the parish hall. Visitors are encouraged to use the east entrance. • Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1706 Slide Road, traditional liturgical services on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. The Palm Sunday service will be at 10:30 a.m., April 2, with the procession of the Palms and holy communion. Good Friday’s service will be at 6 p.m., April 7, with holy communion and procession of the wooden cross. Easter Sunday’s celebration will be at 10:30 a.m., April 9, and will feature trumpet accompaniment and holy communion. Our worship leaders and speakers will be Pastor Mike Holmes and Alan Ehlo, with piano accompaniment by Jumyeong Lee, a graduate student in piano performance at Texas Tech’s School of Music. All interested persons are very welcome to come and participate.

• St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1510 Ave. X: Palm Sunday, April 2, 8 and 10:30 a.m.; Maundy Thursday, April 6, 6 p.m.; Good Friday, April 7, noon; Easter Sunday, April 9, 8 and 10:30 a.m. with potluck brunch between services at 9 a.m. and children's egg hunt after 10:30 a.m. service.
