The Eagles (11-1) rebounded after last year's state semifinal loss and will try to win their first state title since 2014 when they take on Shiner St. Paul at 1 p.m. Friday at Waco ISD Stadium in the title game.

Bax Townsend accounted for five touchdowns for LCHS. He had 12 carries for 178 yards and four touchdowns and was 2-of-5 passing for 48 yards and another TD.
