A Lubbock engineering business has been named in the top 100 companies owned by Texas A&M alums, according to a news release.

Centerline Engineering & Consulting, LLC, in Lubbock, was selected as one of the fastest-growing alumni-owned companies around the world by the Aggie 100 on Nov. 4, 2022. It was named 4th out of the 100, with a compound annual growth rate of 122.059%.

The business is a "multi-disciplinary engineering, land survey, and consulting firm that serves Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico." Their services include civil engineering, land survey, geotechnical and environmental engineering, unmanned aircraft systems (drones), and construction.

"Without the team that surrounds me, none of this would be possible," said Daniel Wetzel, owner and 2006 A&M graduate. "They have all fully supported the vision I set forth and embraced the lack of comfort associated with the growth we have experienced, while taking extreme ownership of their roles and our company goals."

The full Aggie 100 list can be seen at aggie100.com. This year, the Aggie 100 saw their "second-highest number of applications ever."

"Now in its 18th year, the Aggie 100 continues to re-set the standard for recognizing and celebrating the best of our Aggie entrepreneurs across the globe," said Blake Petty, executive director of the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. "These 100 companies and their Aggie founders and leaders have proven their determination for success, and we’re excited to welcome them to the Aggie 100 family. This 18th class of the Aggie 100 represents the cream that has truly risen to the top, and we’re honored to be a part of their company’s story and success."
