Multiple grocery stores and supermarkets across Lubbock raised more than $100,000 for the Children's Miracle Network during a May campaign, according to a company news release.

United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market and Amigos held a donate-at-the-register campaign in May. This allowed customers to add a donation to their grocery bill, of any amount, which would go directly to the local CMN hospital.

On June 17, the United Family gave the network a check for $103,199.52 at the University Medical Center, which is a Children’s Miracle Network hospital for the South Plains.

“Their generous gift to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of $103,000 - captured at their registers - is a reflection of the gracious spirit of their loyal customers," said Mark Funderburk, CEO of UMC. "UMC is the region's only Children’s Miracle Network hospital...and like United, we love kids!”
