Lubbock's Velvet Taco announces summer party series with giveaways, specials

Velvet Taco is bringing back their Party on The Patio and a variety of specials and giveaways this summer.

Velvet Taco announced the second season of the parties, which take place at 4 p.m. on Thursdays at 2401 Glenna Goodacre Blvd. Along with specials, this year's performances will include:

  • June 15: Kara Balko

  • June 22: Erin Wolff

  • June 29: Erin Wolff

  • July 6: Junior Vasquez

  • July 13: Robert Lopez

  • July 20: Micah Burns

  • July 27: Robert Lopez

This season's parties will offer $3 Miller Lite Drafts, $4 Tacos, $4 Chips & Queso, and $5 margaritas for dine-in customers. The five tacos will be the Spicy Tikka Chicken, Beer Battered Cauliflower, Mexi-Cali Shrimp, Korean Fried Rice, and Kobe Bacon Burger.

Other new menu items will include:

  • Burger & Fries Taco: smash burger, queso blanco, french fries, cheddar, spicy ketchup, flour tortilla ($4.50)

  • Chicken & Avocado Salad Taco: crispy chicken bites, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, creole vinaigrette, honey Dijon, tomato, lettuce wrap ($4.25)                                       

  • Chicken & Mac n' Cheese Taco: crisp tender, mac n' cheese, queso blanco, red chile aioli, flour tortilla ($4.00)

  • Chicken Tenders Taco: crisp tenders, corn pico, avocado crema, cheese blend, flour tortilla ($4.25)

  • Hangover Breakfast Taco: slow-roasted angus brisket, slow-roasted pulled pork, peppered bacon, crispy potatoes, fluffy egg, cheese blend, flour tortilla ($4.50)

  • Burger Quesadilla side: smash burger, cheese blend, flour tortilla, side of spicy ketchup ($4.50)

  • Brisket Mac n' Cheese side: mac n' cheese, slow-roasted angus brisket, queso blanco ($4.50)

Happy hour deals will include Exclusive College town Menu tacos and a fountain beverage for $8.59; 2 regular tacos and a fountain beverage for $9.59; and a $6 swap fountain beverage for a regular "kick-ass margarita."

Customers could also win branded bags, cups, journals or other Velvet Taco prizes.
