LuckyforLife ticket sold in Greenwich worth $365k a year expires this month

Aug. 1—The winning ticket matched all five numbers — 4-7-15-17-30 — and the lucky ball, 5. Connecticut Lottery's website notes that the odds of a ticket having all five numbers as well as the lucky ball are 1 in 30 million.

According to the organization, Lucky for Life winners who get all five numbers and the lucky ball can choose a one-time cash lump sum payment, which would be $5.75 million (before taxes), or they can choose the "For Life" annuity option that grants the winner $365,000 (before taxes) a year for life, with a guaranteed 20 years of payments.

Because this is a prize over $5,000, the winner must present their ticket to the Connecticut Lottery Headquarters in Rocky Hill along with two valid forms of identification. If the prize money is left unclaimed, it can be put back in to the game's total jackpot, per a Connecticut General Statute.

Last month, $1 million Powerball ticket was sold and claimed in Enfield, and an additional 20-plus lottery tickets worth more than $50,000 each were sold in July.
