WORCESTER — Lucky’s Café will be serving its last meals at its 102 Grove St. location on Sunday, Dec. 19, according to a recent Facebook posting.

Owners Peter Armer and Patti Hallinan announced in October that the business would be looking for a new location at the end of December, but hadn’t announced an exact date.

“Regretfully, the building’s owner has chosen not to renew our lease at the end of December,” Armer told the Telegram & Gazette in October.

The owners said are hoping to find a new location to reopen Lucky’s.

“We are looking for viable space to relocate so that we can continue to provide our quality food, service and ambience to our loyal friends," according to the Facebook posting.

The owners encouraged customers to look for updates on the Facebook page.

Lucky’s Café has been operating in the lower level of the North Works building since 1991.

Despite being hidden from street view and with only a small sign outside the business, it attracted a loyal breakfast and luncheon crowd, offering home-style food, including Hallinan’s soups, and daily specials.
