The New York Yankees have got to be tired of seeing Luis Castillo.

Castillo's third start in four weeks against the Yankees was his second start for the Mariners since Seattle acquired him from the Cincinnati Reds late last month.

And it was his best of the three, even though he settled for a no-decision in the Mariners' 1-0 win in 13 innings.

Making his home debut, Castillo allowed three hits in eight scoreless innings, with two walks and seven strikeouts. He threw 110 pitches and lowered his ERA to 2.71.

Social media reactions to Castillo's gem Tuesday night in Seattle:

Last week, Castillo won at Yankee Stadium in his debut for the Mariners. He threw 109 pitches, allowing three earned runs on five hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.

Castillo's second-to-last start with the Reds was July 14 in the Bronx. He allowed just one earned run on two hits over seven innings while striking out eight and walking four in the Reds' 7-6 win in 10 innings against the Yankees.

The only other start Castillo has made against the Yankees in his six Major League Baseball seasons came in 2017 - his rookie season. He allowed three earned runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts over five innings in a loss.

Castillo confirmed last week that the Yankees were "definitely very interested" in him before the Reds-Mariners trade. After the Reds traded Castillo to the Mariners, New York Post columnist and MLB Network insider Joel Sherman reported via Twitter that the Yankees told the Reds that prospect Anthony Volpe would not be included in trade discussions.
