Beaver Stadium will be a concert venue for the second time, as a popular country music star is set to perform there next year.

Two-time reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Combs will bring his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour to Beaver Stadium on April 27, 2024, Penn State Athletics announced in a press release Tuesday. Joining Combs for the Beaver Stadium concert will be Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff.

Fans of Luke Combs will recognize hits such as “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “She Got the Best of Me,” and “Going, Going, Gone.” Currently, his version of Tracy Chapman’s Grammy-winning song, “Fast Car,” has spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and is his 16th consecutive No. 1 single at country radio, according to the release. Combs is also celebrating his new album, “Gettin’ Old,” a companion to his 2022 record, “Growin’ Up,” which was released earlier this spring.

Pat Kraft, Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, said Penn State is “thrilled” with this opportunity.

“We are thrilled to have Luke Combs make the iconic Beaver Stadium part of his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour in 2024,” Kraft said in the release. “Not only is this a tremendous way to showcase our stadium but will also provide an economic impact for our community and local businesses. We know the combination of this unique opportunity and it being Luke’s only concert in the state of Pennsylvania in 2024 that his fans will show up and make this one of the biggest concerts in the country!”

He added that he hopes this concert marks the “first of many concerts and other major events that we will host in the iconic Beaver Stadium in the coming years.”

Tickets will be available for pre-sale starting 4 p.m. Aug. 23 and the general on-sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 25. Combs’ fan club, The Bootleggers, will have early access to tickets through fan pre-sale starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 23.

Citi is the official credit card of the tour, the release states, and Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 24 via Citi Entertainment. Other ticket offers may be available through T-Mobile, the official wireless partner of the tour.

Beaver Stadium, home of Penn State football, is the second-largest stadium in the country. It has a capacity of 106,572 and is the host of the “Greatest Show in College Sports” in the Penn State White Out each year. This is the second concert to be hosted in Beaver Stadium with the first taking place in 2017. That show, Happy Valley Jam, included country music singers Blake Shelton, Chris Young and Big and Rich.
