A pair of country music heavyweights delivered a one-two punch of new music this week.

On Friday, Luke Combs — a two-time reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year — debuted "Growin' Up And Gettin' Old," the buzzed-about first song off his anticipated new album "Gettin' Old." Due out March 24, the album marks a companion to Combs' Grammy Award-nominated 2022 release, "Growin' Up."

On social media Thursday, the 32-year-old Combs described his upcoming album as one about "the stage of life I'm in right now."

"It's about coming of age, loving where life is but missing how it used to be, continuing to fall for the one you love and loving them no matter what," Combs said. He continued: "[It's about] living in the moment but still wondering how much time you have left."

A big-voiced rumination on life's subtle changes, Combs sings on the new song: "I've been findin' peace of mind slowin' my road/ Learn to tow that line with time as it goes/ In the middle of growin' up and gettin' old."

For days, Combs teased the song on social media, posting demo snippets and acoustic clips ahead of a formal release. He'll take his new tunes on the road this year for a world tour of largely sold-out concerts, including a show April 15 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

And this week, Zach Bryan — the wildly popular Oklahoma-raised troubadour and noted Ticketmaster rival — released "Dawns," a sobering break-up duet with indie favorite Maggie Rogers. The stand-alone single comes days after Bryan confirmed his 2023 "Burn, Burn, Burn" tour, a run of shows capping the singer-songwriter's climb to arena headliner and mainstage festival attraction.

Bryan, a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles follower, promised fans last week that he would debut "Dawns" if his team beat the New York Giants in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Philadelphia delivered, advancing to the league's conference championship round this Sunday.

On "Dawns", Bryan sings: "Wake me up when the season's gone/'Cause I've wasted all my dawns on you."
