Oct. 23—How well is the casino in Danville doing?

About a month ago, our Dave Hinton reported that the Golden Nugget Danville casino wasn't doing so hot, checking in near the bottom of the rankings for revenue brought in by Illinois casinos in August.

The numbers improved in September.

Golden Nugget Danville brought in $3,340,238 in revenue last month, $238,495 more than the previous month.

That's big money, but it's dwarfed by Illinois casinos in major metropolitan areas, like Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, which brought in $41,453,309 in September.

If you're after rankings, though, Danville is up. Instead of being next to last on the earnings list, Golden Nugget is ahead of Walkers Bluff Casino Resort in Carterville and Argosy Casino Alton.
