Reyes hosted her own radio show for 57 years, perhaps best known as a personality on WHTC. She co-founded the Latin American Society, forerunner of Latin Americans United for Progress, according to a release from the DAR. She also helped establish the Community Help Center in 1969, known today as Community Action House.

Reyes co-founded the Holland Community Health Center, the release said, which provides healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured. She still operates her own counseling center today.
