Two-year-old Bella has been lonely all her life, but she's got lots of love to give and is hoping for a new adoption family to welcome her into a happy home. Having spent most of her life in kennels, Bella deserves a fresh start.

When Bella, a Lurcher crossbreed, first arrived at the Heath Animal Centre in Ringwood in 2020, the RSPCA were especially worried that she would never find a home. She showed clear signs of anxiety, and was scared around other dogs, leaving her lonely and afraid.

Hannah Hawkins, RSPCA behaviour and welfare advisor at the Ringwood Centre, said that "incorrect management" had worsened Bella's situation, "but, thankfully, after months and months of intensive work we’ve started to see her making improvements."

Bella has shown a positive response to the training and has befriended other dogs – but she is most comfortable around humans. "Although we try to spend as much time with her as possible, we simply can’t be with her all the time," Hannah admits.

Bella is a playful, clever and affectionate pup. She's a big attention seeker; running around, having a splash in the water and playing with all her cuddly toys.

Bella needs an owner who is confident, patient, experienced and able to continue her training, whilst being aware of her different emotions.

Bella loves to run around, so a home with a large, enclosed garden would be a perfect fit for her. It's also best that there are no other pets.
