Lutherville Station development plan, transit expansion proposed

A new redevelopment plan for a Lutherville-Timonium shopping center is meeting resistance from thousands of residents. Lutherville Station LLC, which owns the 13-acre property on Ridgely Road, wants to build 400 apartments in addition to 200,000 square feet of office space and 21,300 square feet of retail space. Separately, the Maryland Transit Administration plans to expand mass transit options in the area. Some residents oppose transit expansion, and although they don't oppose development, they consider the current project too much for the area.
