Here are 6 Valentine’s Day 2024 events in Myrtle Beach area, from beach picnic to ’80s prom

Valentine’s Day is coming.

Instead of doing a basic dinner or a movie night, you could try out some of these unique ideas in the Myrtle Beach area, including going on a cruise, renewing your vows or having a romantic picnic on the beach.

Get your vows renewed

There are two area locations that are offering couples a chance to renew their vows.

Married couples can book a time at Brookgreen Gardens for a vow renewal on Feb. 14. There will be two ceremonies to choose from. The first will be 1 to 3 p.m. and the second will be 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

There will be a nondenominational ceremony followed by a reception at Leonard Pavilion. At the reception, cake will be served, along with a champagne toast and live music.

The vow renewal package costs $50 for member and $55 for nonmembers. Included is a bouquet or boutonniere, a personalized certificate, and a professional photograph. You can sign up on the website.

Lulu’s in North Myrtle Beach is also offering a vow renewal ceremony. It will be 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 17, with the ceremony at 2 p.m. It’s recommended to arrive early to pick up your complimentary certificate, flowers and take photos.

After the ceremony, there will be champagne, cake and music. Couples can register on Lulu’s website.

Take a PonTiki sunset cruise

Pontiki Myrtle Beach will offer a 4 p.m. sunset cruise from Feb. 15 through 18 and an afternoon cruise at 1 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 18. Cruises are $70 for adults and $40 for children. That includes all drinks. You can book on the company website.

The party boat company offers tours of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.

For the weekend following Valentine’s Day, the company will be serving champagne on all of its tours to celebrate.

Have a romantic picnic on the beach

What’s better than surprising your partner with a beautiful picnic along the coast? MB Picnic Co. sets up luxury beach picnics with several options to choose from.

The picnic includes a small table set with plates and silverware, comfortable floor seating options and boho decor. You can talk with the company to work out food options or you can bring your own. When you’re done, MB Picnic Co. will handle the cleanup.

Prices start at $200 for a picnic for two people. You can add on additional services such as a rose stem walkway, heart candle lights or a s’mores kit for an extra cost.

Another vendor option is Holly’s Beach Parties, which offers a romantic night out for $195. This includes a table, floor seating and 12 roses.

Vendors offer suggestions for locations and will try to accommodate special requests. Picnics are available in certain locations based on city regulations and what is allowed on the beach. Some of those locations include Cherry Grove, Myrtle Beach State Park and near Garden City Pier.

Make crafts together

Wine and Design, 1620 Farrow Parkway, is hosting two classes on Valentine’s Day. For $75, couples will be able to make a “love birds” resin decoration or paint a starry night sky.

The resin class is 6 to 7:15 p.m. Feb. 14, and the painting class is from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per couple and include the art supplies. You need to bring your own wine, but Wine and Design will provide cups and corkscrews if needed.

Take your date to prom

It was a time of big hair, bright colors and of course, dancing (with the exception of Footloose). It was the ‘80s and you can relive it, or experience it, through Crooked Hammock Brewery’s ‘80s Prom from 6 to 9 p.m. Valentine’s Day.

The North Myrtle Beach brewery’s event includes a DJ, a dance floor, selection of appetizers, drink tickets, themed photo op and a crowning of a Crooked King and Queen. Tickets are $55 and can be reserved at https://bit.ly/47zOHV8.

Find your match on a bar crawl

Coastline Entertainment is hosting a Valentine’s Day bar crawl on Feb. 14 from 5 to 10 p.m. For $20, a party bus will drive you to four bars where you can drink and find some happy hour specials. It will stop and start at the Tavern in the Forest, 4999 Carolina Forest Blvd.

Although not exclusively for single people, it advertises itself as a place to “Come and find a love match.” You can call Coastline Entertainment at 843-942-9493 to make a reservation.
