Luxury Sleepy Hollow waterfront apartments selling fast

The Daymark, the first property to be located directly along the water in Sleepy Hollow's Edge-on-Hudson mixed-use community, has sold more than 25% of its luxury one- , two- and three-bedroom condominiums.

The development is still under construction, with initial occupancy scheduled for spring 2025.

The new residential property also includes a variety of townhome-style residences with private maisonette entrances and stoops.

Edge-on-Hudson is being developed by the development team of Biddle Real Estate Ventures and PCD Development. The Daymark’s architecture and interior spaces were designed by New York City-based COOKFOX Architects with Hines as the development manager.

It's located at the site of the former General Motors assembly plant.

Upscale finishes and appointments at The Daymark include insulated glass picture windows, nine-foot ceilings in all living areas, and white oak engineered wide plank flooring. Amenities include custom designed kitchens with a Sub-Zero-Wolf appliance package including gas cooktops, ovens, integrated refrigerators/freezers and a wine refrigerator.

The project is big on indoor/outdoor space with multiple balconies, terraces, patio access and loggias boasting views of the Hudson River, Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse and the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.

Outdoor spaces include two waterfront courtyards designed by Future Green Studio that include a pool and sundeck. There's also a landscaped rooftop terrace with further outdoor dining options for residents.

Indoor amenities include a double-height attended lobby, screening room, library with fireplace, co-working lounge, events room, fitness center, yoga studio, children’s playroom, and a pet spa.

Additionally, residents will have access to a daily shuttle service to Tarrytown's Metro-North train station during weekday commuter hours.

All in all, when completed, Edge-on-Hudson is set to include 1,177 townhomes, condos and apartments; a 140-room boutique hotel; 135,000 square feet of retail space, which will include a waterfront restaurant, and 35,000 square feet of office space. There will also be more than 16 acres of new parkland. And, construction is underway on a 30,000-square-foot DeCicco & Son's market.

Karen Stroub, broker/owner of Corcoran Legends Realty, said in a press release that it's difficult to find new-construction waterfront properties in today’s market and many want homes on the water.

“Years ago, most people preferred private one-acre-plus lots, but the wish list has shifted to the water and to be in a convenient, walkable location surrounded by dining, retail, and transportation," she said.
