Jul. 21—GRISWOLD — Ryan Lynch went the distance on the mound, scattering six hits and striking out five batters to help lead Willimantic to a 3-2 road victory over Jewett City in Tuesday night's Zone 6 American Legion baseball action.

John Boutin went 2-for-3 at the plate and knocked in two runs for Willimantic while Alex Cote ripped a 2-run single for Jewett City.

TRI-COUNTY ROUNDUP WINDSOR LOCKS — Nathan Wanderman allowed just one earned run over six innings of work, scattering three hits and striking out five batters to help lead the 17-U squad to a 4-2 Zone 3 victory over host NCL.

Edward Melzen finished with three hits and two runs scored while Avey Gugliotti added two hits and a pair of RBI for Tri-County (13-4).

Jeremiah Bobbi singled, walked twice, scored a run and struck out a pair of batters in two innings of work on the mound while Brady Hulland (2 hits) cracked an RBI double and earned the win with two innings of relief work as the 15-U squad (13-2) routed Wallingford, 9-2, in Monday night's Zone D action in Marlborough.
