A newly released 911 call is providing more tragic clues surrounding the death of “Caddyshack” star Cindy Morgan in Florida last month.

Before her body was discovered in her Lake Worth Beach home, the actress’ concerned roommate called 911 because she hadn’t seen the 69 year old since Dec. 19, and noticed a bad odor coming from her bedroom.

In newly released audio, recorded on Dec. 30, the roommate tells the dispatcher that she knocked on the door but there was no answer, and that there was a “strong, bad odor” emanating from that area of the unit.

The caller also said she could hear Morgan’s dogs barking inside and called Animal Control, but that no one from the office was able to come out right away.

“I’m just worried,” the roommate said. “She don’t have no one.”

First responders subsequently made the gruesome discovery. The “Tron” actress, born Cynthia Ann Cichorski in Chicago had passed. A representative from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Morgan died of natural causes. No foul play is suspected.

Her apartment was miles away from where many of the scenes for 1980’s “Caddyshack” was filmed in the summer of 1979. The stand-in for the “Bushwood Country Club” was the Rolling Hills Golf Club, now the Grande Oaks Golf Club, in Davie.

Director Harold Ramis told Sports Illustrated for the cult classic’s 40th anniversary that it was chosen “by default.”

“We visited a lot of really nice country clubs, and they didn’t want us,” said the late comedian in 2010. “Because what club wants to shut down for a movie and have hundreds of people trampling on the golf course?”
