‘I’m really happy for the Jaguars’: Fans express support ahead of Saturday’s game

Jacksonville Jaguars fans are gearing up for the highly-anticipated faceoff against the Tennessee Titans.

Throughout the day, Action News Jax saw people sporting all types of Jags gear and repping their teal.

“I’m really happy for the Jaguars,” said Jags Fan Lucy Pearson. “They’re coming out on top, most definitely.”

You’re strongly encouraged to arrive at the stadium early and plan ahead.

Transportation options can be found HERE.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. The game starts at 8:15 p.m.

“I think the Jaguars are doing great,” said Dylan Ragsdale. “I’m excited that it’s getting other people excited about Jacksonville.”

Bert Eagle shared his thoughts.

“I just love having the team here,” Eagle said. “I know people are from different places and people migrated here but to support the team with fan favorites -- that will be a good thing.”

Upon entry, the first 60,000 fans through the gates will receive teal rally towels with the phrase “It was always the Jags.”

More reminders for fans:

  • Be Clear on Game Day – The NFL’s clear bag policy is in effect at TIAA Bank Field. Fans are encouraged to leave all bags at home, but, if one is necessary, it should be either a clear bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or a non-clear bag no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5.”

  • Mobile Ticketing – Fans should have their mobile tickets downloaded and ready to scan prior to arriving at the entry gates. To access your tickets, download the Official Jaguars Mobile App.

  • Cashless Transactions - Cash is no longer accepted anywhere in the stadium. In addition to traditional scan and chip options, all fixed points of sale will offer tap or scan payment options including JagsPay, Apple, Google and Samsung Pay.

Fans also weighed in about proposed upgrades to TIAA Bank Field.

Plans include improved airflow, wider concourses, rain protection, and shade overall seats.

“That would be good because the last time I went to a game I nearly burned up,” Pearson said. “I was really hot. I’m really happy about that. People want to be out of the elements if it rains and the sunshine. The sun is nice but it can be brutal.”
