Democratic presidential candidates all agree that the dearth of paid family leave in America is a major problem — they just have slightly different solutions on how to solve it. The outlook for federal employees, at least, appeared more promising this week: The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a defense-authorization bill that incorporated 12 weeks of paid parental leave for the more than 2 million federal workers. President Donald Trump has signaled his support for the legislation.
