(FB) became the largest company to see a one-day decline in its stock price wipe more than $100 billion from its market cap. Facebook’s stock plummeted from $216 a share on Jul. 25, 2018, to $176 the next day. Closely following Facebook is the leading chipmaker Intel (INTC), which lost more than $90 billion on Sept. 22, 2000.
