Mark Barnett Sacked from Edinburgh Investment Trust

Mark Barnett has been sacked from running the Edinburgh Investment Trust (EDIN) after more than three years of underperformance. It comes just weeks after the funds run by the protégé of Neil Woodford were downgraded by Morningstar analysts amid performance and liquidity concerns. Glen Suarez, chairman of the Edinburgh Investment Trust, said he was “disappointed by another weak result” as the trust put out its interim results.
