Bowser challenges Virginia to match her commitment to build new housing

As D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has laid out targets to massively ramp up new housing construction and meet the region’s supply shortage, she’s asking: Where is Virginia’s commitment on this issue? Specifically, she questioned Virginia's commitment to a regionwide effort to add 320,000 homes by 2030. While Bowser touted her recent work to beef up funding for the District’s affordable housing loan fund and set neighborhood-specific targets for new housing construction, she lamented that she hasn’t seen similar efforts in Virginia.
