Poll: Only 1 in 4 People Think Kavanaugh Was Completely Truthful at Senate Hearing

An Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey found that only one in four people think Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was being “completely honest” when he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this month. The Associated Press reports 31 percent believed Kavanaugh was “largely lying” during his testimony, while 39 percent thought he was “mostly honest.” Another 25 percent of respondents said they thought he was “totally truthful.” The breakdown of the numbers is largely partisan. Six in 10 Republicans said they thought Kavanaugh was “entirely truthful,” while fewer than 1 in 10 Democrats thought Kavanaugh was telling the entire truth.
