MasterCard  said earlier this week that it was investigating a data breach of a loyalty program in Germany which led to a leak of personal information online, impacting approximately 90,000 customers. The loyalty program was operated by a third-party service provider, which was immediately suspended. Capital One Financial Corp. announced last month that more than 100 million people had their personal information hacked.
