Tesla resurrects referral program with chances to win Model Y, Roadster

Less than two months after killing the first version over its high costs, Tesla has announced a new, albeit scaled-back customer referral program. This time, Tesla is dangling the opportunity to win performance versions of its forthcoming Model Y and Roadster along with more limited free supercharging. According to the company, each time you refer a friend for a purchase of a new Model S, X or 3, you'll both get 1,000 miles of free supercharging, down from six months of free supercharging under the old plan.
