Mabank man sentenced to 12 years in prison for 27 grams of meth

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Henderson County District Attorney said a man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after police located 27 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

Hayden Scott Parks, 26 of Mabank, was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and possession.

According to the DA, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 29, 2023, after a deputy saw a Camaro without a front license plate and a back plate that they had no record of in their database.

A K9 alerted authorities, and 27.61 grams of methamphetamine were located on the driver’s side door.

Parks was sentenced to serve his time in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
