Macomb County Opens $1.5M Grant Program For Nonprofits

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Macomb County Planning and Economic Development this week opened a new grant opportunity for local nonprofit and social impact organizations recovering from COVID-19 and the ongoing economic crisis.

The program will use federal CARES Act funding to make $1.5 million available for qualified applicants.

“Nonprofits play an essential role in Macomb County,” MCPED Director Vicky Rad said. “These organizations are on the ground in our neighborhoods providing services and support to ensure the health and wellbeing of our residents, but like our small businesses, they were hit hard by COVID-19 and the shutdown. With our new grant program, we hope to provide the assistance our nonprofits need so they can continue to serve our community during these challenging times.”

The grant application process will remain open through Oct. 13. All submissions will be reviewed by an independent grant selection committee of local civic leaders.

A complete application must include:

  • A W-9 form (signed and dated within the last 12 months)
